Flip the Ballot to Make a Difference – Vote Yes for Iowa Water and Land Legacy

Y Camp typically does not get involved in too many political positions. We all know that we have been inundated with them the last few weeks. There is however something that we feel extremely strong about. That being the Iowa Water and Land Legacy. When you vote we are encouraging a YES vote to help protect Iowa’s water and land. This constitutional amendment will create a fund – IT IS NOT A TAX INCREASE – to provide money for water and land conservation and education. When and if there were a sales tax increase in the state, this amendment mandates that the first 3/8 of a cent goes towards this fund. The money goes to support conservation, outdoor recreation, and outdoor education. The fund alone would allow for just about every child in Iowa getting the opportunity to experience time at camp in an outdoor education program. How incredible is that. So again, we are encouraging you to vote yes on the first item on the back of the ballot this November. Thanks in advance for your support.
