On October 3rd, Mike drove down to Des Moines to meet with the 2nd grade class of Crestview Elementary. Our Tipi program focuses on S.T.E.M. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
The 'big' picture of our Tipi program is showing the students how to care for the environment. Our hope is at the end, they understand that what they do the planet now, will impact future generations. A major point that is talked about is the water quality and how it affects everyone. The children also learn a quite a bit on how different cultures worked hundreds of years ago.
Take a look at some of the pictures. The smiles on the faces will show you and how excited to kids are when they are putting up the Tipi by themselves!
