Environmental Education

Y Camp’s Environmental Education Programs are used to enrich the classroom curriculum as well as reinforce literacy, math, speech, music, art and physical education. The residential program has the greatest impact on retention with students spending 3 to 5 days at camp. Teachers can look at the programs offered and choose classes that fit their curriculum.

Experience nature and have students come out for an education experience they will never forget, come have fun during summer camp or bring your group out for an outing and training.

Thank you for visiting the Y-Camp environmental education blog!  If you look at the cover of your post card you have a key to the common deciduous trees of central Iowa.  Simply photocopy the cover, cut it out and fold it in half.  One side has the simple the other has compound leaves.  Both tops have alternate and the bottoms have opposite.  Enjoy!
